Mission and Vision

ADBEF is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded and run by Rwandan youth who actively create solutions to the socioeconomic issues facing their communities. Since its founding in December, 2006, ADBEF has grown as an important and trusted social solutions provider in Rwanda.ADBEF stands for Association pour la Défense des droits, de développement durable et du Bien-Etre Familial in French, which translates to the “Association for the Defense of Human Rights, Sustainable Development and Family Well-Being.”

Vision

Our vision is a world of hope and social justice; a world without extreme poverty or HIV/AIDS; a world in which all people live with dignity and socio-economic security.

Mission

Our mission is to promote family welfare, human rights, and sustainable development in Rwanda, and to advocate for vulnerable people and populations. To fulfill this mission, we are committed to doing the following:

  1. Human rights mobilization
  2. Family capacity building
  3. Socioeconomic empowerment activities for vulnerable people
